I do everything your supposed to do. I brush my teeth, I floss, I use mouth wash. But I can still feel my bad breath after just moments of brushing my teeth. Please help, it would mean a lot.
Rude answers: block & report.

He doesn’t seem to care when I mention that his hygiene is awful. He smells so bad I am embarrassed and now feel degraded. He also doesn’t want to work. I am fed up. I am scared to get a divorce because he keeps saying that he will change and if he really does I don’t want to make a mistake. I feel that he is now violating my rights as a human being by being so oblivious to my feelings. He says it is because he has bad dental problems, but doesn’t do much to remedy the situation.

i always know if i got a bad breath or not. that nasty feeling in my guts like i am full and bloated and specific taste in my mouth always indicates that i have a halitosis.
i`ve seen my dentist yesterday and he said my teeth were ok, besides i don`t have no sinus troubles.

Hi I live in Italy and I have taken my cat to the vet many times in the past 9 months. My cat has herpes, she had a secondary respiratory infection but the vet tells me that has been treated and is now clear. Her tongue has ulcers and her gums are bleeding, she constantly has drool coming out of her mouth and her tongue is often sticking out of her mouth telling me that she cannot close it properly. She is eating but she is also very thin. She has just completed another 15 days of antibiotics (she was on the same antibiotics last month.) the same thing has happened after both courses of antibiotics, during the course she looks like she is getting better and then 3 days after she finishes them she starts getting worse again. She starts to drool and her breathing becomes raspy.my cat also smells, her breath is very smelly and she just gives off a bad smell. I though it could be because she can not clean herself but my dog licks her clean (a full bath) Also her coat is in poor condition. My vet has told me the herpes is in her gums and we may need to remove her teeth! He said that we can try cortisone injections to help control the symptoms. Is it normal for a cat to suffer for 9 months with this and is the course of treatment my vet is proposing normal? Please can some one give me a list of antibiotics that work or steroids that are known to work or any treatment plans that I can take to my vet. I just worry as in the surgery she has seen 2 different vets and both of them have come up with different treatment plans… I also feel so sorry for her as she is obviously suffering and I can not keep putting her on antibiotics (she is also very cross with me for forcing a pill in her very painful mouth and the antibacterial gel and the 1ml of liquid the vet made up for her! ) Any help would be much appreciated.
Here is what a vet wrote to me on another site I posted this question. A lot of people have said put the cat down, but I want to explore all options before doing so. If I thought she was at the end of the road I would put her to sleep:
Your cat’s problem is not uncommon. She has a hypersensitivity reaction to the bacteria that live on her teeth and in the space between the tooth and gum. While she is on an effective antibiotic the bacteria are fewer and thus the reaction improves. As soon as the antibiotic is discontinued or becomes ineffective she is right back where she started. Same with steroids (cortisone). You won’t be able to give enough to be effective.
The reason your vet suggests removing all the teeth is that will remove where the bacteria live in the mouth. In about 85% of the cats who have full mouth extraction, the improvement is dramatic and effective. And no more pills.
From what you have told me, I would agree with the vet that suggested extraction.

My breath stinks all the time. My boss has written me up three times over this issue, and the next time’s gonna cost me my job (I’m a "birthday clown" by trade.)
I brush about 2-3 times a week, floss when I remember…..my diet is ok I guess (LOTS of free hot dogs and Doritos at the kids parties so I always eat at work…..and I love fish sticks so I eat those everynight too, and I drink over a gallon of fruit punch daily to flush some of the alcohol outta my liver.)
My question is, would you fire me over this? I chew gum after I smoke so it’s not that bad. My wife kisses me once in a while and doesn’t complain that much……I don’t think I should lose my job over this.

My husband has a bridge on his upper jaw and his breath is horrible – I know he’s brushing and flossing his teeth, along with mouthwash, but it’s not helping. Is there any way to keep the bad breath away without him having to get a new bridge? My guess is that it’s rotting… but he doesn’t seem to care…
It’s so bad that I can’t breathe when he’s talking to me!! I hate kissing him – what can I do???

Sometimes when my boyfriend wants to makeout with me, I’m instantly turned off because he has bad breath either in the morning or through out the day and his tongue isn’t clean but looks like it’s coated with coffee or just not brushed. How do I tell him this without hurting or embarassing him?

This is especially annoying because he likes to get right in my face and breath on me. It’s sort of garlicky, but he doesn’t eat garlic. Maybe he needs more vegetables? Otherwise he seems perfectly healthy. Thanks. P.S. If you own a bird, does he have bad breath?
Thanks Soye! I bet it’s his hatred of vegetables. He likes them cooked though. I’ll start serving him some extra meals everyday. Maybe I can microwave frozen ones.
