For those of you who have GERDS too you know that one of the symptoms is bad breath
and mine is not just a little bad
it’s horrible
i’m 16 years old and i’ve never had my first kiss because i’m afraid that my breath will smell horrible when they try and kiss me
I know that chewing gum right after a meal is supposed to help with the acid
but i am starting to develop alot of cavaties because i chew so much gum

any ideas or suggestion would be appricated!!!
I forgot to add that i take nexium twice a day and i don’t chew gum with sorbital (it’s an artificail sweetener) I also take carafate (it’s like extra strength tums)
and i’ve gotten all of my cavites filled so that shouldn’t be causing it anymore
but even with all this
my mom still tells me to go chew some gum sometimes because SHE can’t stand my breath lol
its no fun at all

my dog has bad breath like not horrible but it still smells do you recommend anything that will cure my dogs breath?

Hi, can you help? My 19 month old daughter has recently developed bad breath. She had it first when she had tonsilitis about a month ago, which I took to be part of the symptoms. Now it’s back, but I do not think she has tonsilitis again, as she has no fever and she has no problem eating. She is also happy within herself. I have been brushing her teeth twice a day since they started to appear, so I don’t think it is that. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

i do brush my teeth 3 times a day, but rarely floss (too lazy), so is that why i always need to chew gum lol?

doesnt brushing your teeth a lot replace flossing?
or do i still need to floss?

i was only 15 when i had root canel done on my teeth. but my breath still stinks. iv tryed everything brushing, flossing, breath mints and mouth wash nothing seems to work. also iv noticed my gums bleed in 2 places every time i brush. should i go to the dentist?

Even after I brush I still get bad breath like I didn’t even brush? Is there something wrong inside me?
i’ve had these wierd white rocks in my tonsils but they came out when i was brushin.. so i dont know why it still smells ((( so not cool at all !

hey, i know this might seem a stupid question, but can one tonsil be bigger than the other? before any of you guys ask no i don’t have any difficulty swallowing etc, i did have a nasty throat infection a few days ago but its died down and the only thing remaining from that is a few ulcers in the back of my throat, a much less swollen gland and a sore throat in the morning, which is extremley relievin from the other day where i had real bad red sore throat, difficulty swallowin and lack of appetite, bad breath and a swollen lymph gland (all of which persisted for around three weeks!) but its definately eased off now, when i went to visit the doctor he examined my mouth etc and said it is most likely a VIRAL infection, he also had a look at my tonsils to clear out tonsilitis or PDA and he said my tonsils are extremly small for a seventeen year old, which i class as a compliment .

in conclusion, i would like to ask any health advisors/doctors/proffessionals if:

1) is it normal for one tonsil to be slightly bigger than the other?
2) Can anyone hazard a guess as to what viral infection i could of picked up a month ago, i know its fadin off but im curious as what kind of infection could of lingered this long?

And 3) is there any self help/treatment or even advice for relievin myself from this hypochondria ive been sufferin for 2 years? it is beginnin to affect my psychological health and i cant take many more sleepless nights researchin stupid pointless symptoms and bringin myself to thinkin i have cancer

I haven’t brushed my teeth in a long time mainly because i never have enough time. Its been a few years i know that’s really bad but is there a cure besides a dentist it also smells like feces

i brush my teeth 2 times a day with colgate toothpaste and use listerine mouthwash but my breath still smells bad i dont want to go back to school with bad breath because a few people have even made remarks about it and i cant brush my teeth in the middle of the day so i tryed mints between every class but they dont work how can i stop my breath from smelling bad??? i’m not even losing teeth anymore

my cat is about 6 months old, and he has extremley bad breath, i was wondering if using baking soda and water as a paste would work?
if not any home remedies i can do?
the only thing he has been eating is dry food.
