Seems like whenever someone/friend had very bad breath they always want to be talking all up in your face,and you dont have the courage too tell them their breath stinks.So you stand fidgetting holding your breath,turning blue and getting a major headache.

I was diagnosed with BV in February. I was prescribed Metronidazole and it took the smell away. The smell wasn’t like fish it was like bad breath. The smell went away but I still had a white clumpy discharge.

I went back to the doctors two days ago and I was prescribed Metronizadole pills, the vaginal gel, and fluconazole. I will undergo this treatment for several days.

Now I do not smell like fish at all. There is a slight eggy smell but nothing overbearing. I do have both a milky white discharge and a clumpy discharge. Right now there is no abnormal discharge but I know that it did not go away.

My doctor told me that my vaginal pH was high but she could not test it under a microscope that day but she said she knows that I have BV.

So, is there anything else that I should do to get back to normal? I have not had sex in 5 years. I only wash the vulva and not inside. I take showers. I also am a vegetarian/vegan and I eat a lot of sugar and refined carbs.

I just want a normal discharge.

Is there more that I should do? Should I just stop eating refined sugar during treatment?
