I am 8 weeks pregnant and my husband is always telling me to get some gum. Is bad breath a symptom of being pregnant?

Pregnancy DEFINATELY causes changes in your oral health. Developing pregnancy gingivitis is common; I had it w/ my first and have developed it again w/ this one (24 weeks along). My dentist told me to make sure and brush twice a day, floss 1-2 times a day and use Listerine to kill germs. Your oral health will return to normal after your baby is born.
PS- I’ve also had a root canal this pregnancy and have to have another one as well!
Yes, it can also be a symptom of not brushing your teeth.
no
no, but bad teeth are…go to a dentist
it could be, you might want to ask your doctor during your next check up.
in the meantime, practice good oral hygiene and brush and floss after every meal.
yes it is…i have a friend who has been pregnant 3 times since i’ve known her and each time she’s pregnant she gets really bad breath. i can smell it from across the room. it goes away after she has the babies…and i have read what causes it before, but can’t remember what it said…or i would share it. but you can look it up and find it pretty easily.
Not unless you eat a lot of garlic
you can start to brush your tongue if you havent right now
ewww well see a doctor or dentist
Maybe it has always been bad and he’s just now telling you now while you are vulnerable.
It ould be a symtom of pregnancy, though. All kinds of weird things happen to chicks when they are pregnant. The important thing is to not worry about it too much. Just take care of yourself and that little life growing in you.
idk i do not think so but mabe u need to brush better
Not that i have heard of
Use a tongue strapper (if you’ve never heard of it before, then all I have to respond with is, "yea, exactly"…
But seriously, it will help with Bad breath, and use mouthwash too, in fact, do this morning and night, if you don’t already:
1. Whitening Rinse
2. Brush
3. Tongue Scrapper
4. Floss
5. Mouthwash (Listerine)
The tongue scrapper removes bacteria that causes bad breath, so it should help/
Edit- I agree with Gabe, the top priority is the little thing growing inside you
Best wishes!
no some people have something called generosity they need something special to use tooth past is not all ways use full and gum is not use for go see your dentist and ask about bad breath that never goes away it,s a decease of some thing.
no, brush your teeth and use listerine
not that i know of…it could because you’re eating more junky foods and it’s obviously having a bad affect on your mouth.
mines was tasting real bad,i had to keep brushing my teeth every second, even at 37 weeks am still doing it.just go and see a dentist in your second trimester.
