Bad breath with smoking?

I smoke and i know its really bad but i don’t have the time to deal with it at the moment however it will be dealt with soon. I just need to ask about halitosis (bad breath). they say smoking causes it but what kind of smell does it cause. are they referring to the halitosis that is the smell of fags in someones breath. or does it cause worse smells like just general dirty skanky breath. Would apreciate any answers/advice people have. thankyou, x

Smoking causes your breath to smell of smoke! Hardly rocket science!
Halitosis is bad breath caused by factors usually associated with your digestive system. Eating too quickly and causing habitual indigestion can be a cause of bad breath. Gum and other mouth infections can cause it. Lack of oral Hygiene is another cause.

Smoking gives you nasty gross breath. Thats just how it works.

When my husband smoked his breath sometimes smelled really foul, not like smoke but like something rotten, rotten food or trash, WAY worse than smoke smell. I could smell it even after he gargled with listerine.
