Can cavity's cause bad breath?

I have never had a problem with bad breath before but i went to the dentist and i have 9 cavities..Too much soda and candy..There not all bad but there is like 3 that are deep..Can this cause bad breath since its decay in my mouth? I havent noticed it until i got cavity’s.

Being a dental assistant I can certainly give you a correct answer. Yes holes in your teeth do cause bad breath and its not nice.Simply because the tooth causes soft decay and if not fixed will cause a bad smell.

Yes. Cavities allow food to collect and rot. The rotting food can cause bad breath.

Yes for 2 reasons. Tiny bits of food can get trapped in their and basically the food starts rotting. If the tooth becomes infected, trapped pus can make your breath smell awfully bad as well.
yes definately! and if you brush your teeth regularly and they are still going bad? you might want to get checked for diabetes? after it rots all your teeth you toenails will start to fall off.
