how to cure halitosis for my girl friend?

My girl friend always has bad smelling breath, only happen at night 11:00pm onwards. She will get angry if I told her she smell bad. And she don’t like to take chewing gum due to the sugar content. How could I help her to cure her halitosis?

Whats the best way to prevent halitosis?

So.. what is the best way? For those that don’t know what halitosis is it’s bad breath.
I only get occasionally, but when I do it’s pretty bad. I’ve tried mints and minty gum but that doesn’t help.
Thanks in advance! :)

Bad breath and stomach pain my entire life…?

I have had chronic halitosis, frequent stomach pain/gas/food sensitivities, and strange cravings (most often for olive juice or pickled plums) for my entire life, or as long as I can possibly remember. I also have a tendency toward headaches, migraines, and fatigue.

The stomach issues are usually tolerable, as long as I eat small meals regularly and avoid my "trigger" foods… though I still have gas pretty often….

Anyway the main thing that is bothering me is my bad breath. It has caused a great deal of anxiety and depression for me regarding personal relationships. I find myself pushing away people that are close to me (my mom, my fiance) because the smell makes them so uncomfortable. Or emailing colleagues from my office instead of just talking to them face to face. This really needs to change, but I still have yet to find a solution that actually works.

A little more background info: I am 27 yrs old, female, thin, somewhat muscular, and on the lower side of a healthy BMI. I have a sibling with Crohn’s disease, but I haven’t been diagnosed with it.

I have excellent oral hygiene, in large part because of paranoia about my breath. For example I have never had a cavity in my life. I have reduced my brushing to only 1 or 2 times a day though, as brushing generally makes my breath smell worse. The dentist said the lack of cavities could also be because I have densely mineralized teeth… which I guess could relate to some kind of malabsorption issue.

Breathmints, mouthwashes, and chewing gums also make my breath much much worse. Even just a glass of cold water can make it worse sometimes.

Any suggestions for what I can do about my breath?

Oh and please don’t tell me to "go to the doctor," or "go to the dentist" let’s assume that since I’ve been living with this issue for so long, I have repeatedly gone through the proper channels and am starting to get a little desperate for useful insight on the issue. Thanks!

Would he be super calloused fragile mystic plagued with halitosis.

one of my friends has had bad breath for the longest time now but, like most people, i don’t have the guts to tell him about his problem because i know it’ll be uncomfortably awkward. plus, i don’t want to hurt the poor guy’s feelings. anyway, i wouldn’t be surprised if he has halitosis because i’ve smelled his breath after he brushed his teeth. it’s literally the smell of mint and poop combined together. there was also another time where he grabbed a piece of gum (winter fresh) and started chewing for a couple minutes. i remember thinking, "gosh, i hope it makes his breath smell a bit better, at least". he started whistling and i smelled his breath from 2 feet away. it was not a pleasant smell.

so i was just wondering, is there anything worse than halitosis?

one more important thing, i’m ready to tell him about his problem but, i need a little help on choosing the right words. how can i nicely say "dude, your breath smells like dog sh!t."?

Mints help for the moment but not the duration

If you have bad breath, here is the SOLUTION?

1. Brush your teeth, with a baking soda toothpaste.

2. Brush you tongue, and around the insides of your mouth, gently.

3. You MUST FLOSS. Flossing is not just an extra thing to do. It is a necessity!! (You know how rotten meat stinks soooooo bad…?? well guess what, Your mouth stinks just the same. Because youve probably got meat in between your teeth from 5 YEARS AGO!!!!!

Now… for those who have HALITOSIS…

Follow the above instructions first. Then…

Make yourself a Cup of peppermint tea. This helps clear your stomach of poo. yes, poo.

Also, my favourite. Get a LEMON, squeeze all of its contents into a cup of boiled water. and drink.

Lemon is packed full of vitamin C, and it will clear your insides.

Also, dont eat soo much meat. balance your diet.

Ok, so your thinkin now…duuhhh..Thats alot of things to do..duhh..

Well if you care about your hygiene then you’d DO IT!!

And i suggest you pass this info on, Cuss IM GODAMN FED UP OF HAVIN TO SMELL YOU NASTY MUTHA ……!!

How to cure my halitosis (bad breath)?

Hi. I know this sounds nasty, but when I was little my parents never taught me to brush my teeth. My dad worked away and my mom was hell mom, she did not care at all. She then would ridicule me in a rude way for my "stinky breath". I kind of then rebelled against her and not brushed on purpose. Pretty stupid on my side, but I was a kid.

Disgusting story – I know.

Well now I am an adult, and I guess I now have chronic bad breath. I do brush my teeth and try to clean them as much. It isn’t as bad, but every now and then I do notice people take notice.

I breathe a lot through my mouth and have post nasal drip so I guess that could be part of the problem.

I’ve read that drinking water is good, but then I’m afraid that drinking too much might cause issues in other parts of my body.

Should I try taking altoids to work? Can they harm my health? What about the sugar free ones?

I’ve been suggested gum, but doesn’t that mess your stomach because the brain thinks it’s chewing food?

I know I have a lot of stuff going on in my head in regards to side effects. I was wondering what would be a healthy way to tackle the problem or if my concerns above are even real.

I also heard that mouthwashes only worsen problem?

Should I force myself to breath through my nose?

I’ve been to the dentist, and to my surprise, my teeth are pretty healthy for the most part.

I know I should probably go to a doctor, but right now I’m going through so much in life, I can’t deal with the stress of a doctor visit (I know that sounds lame, but I’ve been going through a lot).

Just want home advice that could help.

Thanks.

Why do I get ill everytime I kiss my gf?

The first time I kissed her I got quite sick, with a fever and an orange yellow mucousy buildup in the back of my throat. Made out with her again and got sick again, only not so bad. This has now happened probably 5-10 times now of varying degrees, even after her tonsils were taken out.

Now the sickness isn’t as bad. Perhaps I’ve built up a small immunity (or it has). But there is still a orange (worst), yellow (moderate) or light yellow w/ gray tint (least severe) thick, mucousy buildup in the back of my throat.

After kissing it takes me about 7-14 days to beat it. Other symptoms are tonsil stones, a chalky film and bad breath. Her mild halitosis reminds me of this illness that terrorized me.

Ive read this might be caused by a too much sulfurous bacteria in the back of her mouth; treatable by gargling with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and salt water. Any validity to this?

Can anyone help? I’ve had enough; if we can’t find a solution then the relationship will probably have to end.
