How do u test if you have halitosis?

halitosis=constant bad breath??

any dentists around??

i think i may have halitosis.

OKAY MY LITTLE TEACUP CHICHI DOG HAS HAD BAD BREATH SINCE I GOT HER (2 MONTHS AGO), AND NOW THAT IM STARTING TO BRING HER AROUND, WHEN PEOPLE GET CLOSE AND SHE GETS UP FOR A KISS, HER BREATH SMELLS LIKE SOMEONE HAD DIED IN THERE.

I was always aware of this but i didnt know what to do exactly. my mind always said "JUST BRUSH HER TEETH LIKE U WOULD NORMALLY". And that’s what i did not too long ago, it smells better but once she goes back to eating her dog food it wont.

Im going to bring this up next time I go to the vet, it’s not like she’s going to die so i’ll just do so then. But in the meantime…

-DO I CHANGE HER DIET?
-KNOW OF ANY TOYS/TREATS, ETC. FOR HER SIZE
-HOME REMEDIES?
-JUST KEEP BRUSHING HER TEETH?

ANY SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS ARE WELCOME

If you are here is how you start to work on the problem. The bad breath symtom is referred to halitosis, but this doesn’t really explain what the reall problem is. If you find that you are constantly brushing, flossing, and doing mouth wash more than two times a day then you might be dealing with something that is more of an chronic problem.

3) It could also be due to a sign that you have allergies, and you are experiencing constant nasal drainage into the back of your throat.

4) you could be experiencing a sinus infection.

5) Blockage of the nasal path could be an issue also, resulting in constant sinus drainage, sinus infections, and constant bad mucus breath. Your throat will experience constant pain, due to the influx of drainage. Your ENT should recognize the blockage. If you want to be certain, ask for a CT scan.

First you will need to get a skin test to see if what you are experiencing is an allergy problem. Your allergist will then start you on immunotherapy if all of the allergy medicines is not effective. He will mostly likely keep you on one or two meds. while doing the immunotherapy. If the immunotherapy is not stopping the nasal drainage, then ask him to referr you to an Eare, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist. This is the last line of defense. ENT specialist will try everything to before giving you an o.k. for sugary, but let them know that you have tried everything but sinus surgary. Be absolute, and let them know that you would like a CT scan. When you get the CT scan the ENT must go over the findings with you. If there is even a hint of blockage, ask for surgary.

I have a bad breath halitosis, Do The Marines or Army will let me in? Especially concerning about the drill instructors who will talk close to my face, and if I talk back, He might back off start and Yelling at me that I have a bad breath Halitosis. I came from Pakistan, and I really like to serve this country.

She got her tonsils out over a year ago, but her breath still stinks. She’s nine, and she uses Bubble Gum toothpaste. She claims to brush her teeth for ten minutes. She hates the taste of mint and she hates any kind of gum. Whenever I smell her breath and offer her gum, she won’t take it. She’s a little self-conscious, but her halitosis is worse than anything I’ve ever smelled. I don’t picture green smoke coming out but brown–and a huge cloud. It’s gross. Why is this happening? Is there any reasonable explanation for this?
I want legitimate explanations, not non-doctors claiming to know something but really making educated guesses (sorry!). Thanks so much!!

Come on … whoa … bad breath extreem on a day of fasting and abstence … Geez, everyone has stinky breath, and we’re all cramed into a small space to sufficate on this bad halitosis we’ve created by starving. Why isn’t that sweet smelling stuff burnt for our mercy …. Mercy … MERCY???

I work with a dude who is likabale, smart and well liked on the job, here’s the problem… he has severe halitosis! The kind where it smells like he’s been eating sewage, or hasn’t brushed in weeks. He likes to get real close and up in your face when he talks to you and everyone avoids him when they can. He is either blind or just ain’t getting it, becasue he doesn’t seem to notice how people react when he talks. I don’t think he notices his breath either!

We went to the boss with this, but he told us to deal with the guy, we were the ones having the problem! We don’t want to hurt the guys feelings, but somethings gotta give! We work in a mailroom environment and we are near the baasement, where there aren’t many windows, and when this guy talks, his breath fills up the whole area!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to prevent chronic bad breath?

My friend wants me to ask this (no lie)

My friend has had halitosis, which is chronic bad breath, since she was little.

She brushes her teeth 3 times a day and uses mouthwash but her breath still smells bad. Mints and gum only mask it.

Are there any medications or anything she could do to stop her breath from smelling bad?

Thanks

oh and she’s scared of being with a guy because alot of ppl has told her it smells bad.
