I have experienced bad breath for a few years now. I brush my teeth 3 times a day and use a tongue scraper but nothing seems to work. I drink alot of water and have a good diet.
Ive a white coating on my tongue and a really bad metallic taste in my mouth constantly. My mouth would also get very dry. My doctor and dentist have treated me for thrust but nothing has worked. Its coming between me & my boyfriend because I dont like to get close to him. W are going on holiday in 2 weeks and just thinking about sitting on the plane for 4 hours beside him is really embarrasing because mints and chewing gum just mask the smell for a while.
Ive tried various mouthwashes & herbal remedies but it wont go away. Ive also tried chlorine peroxide as a mouthwash & baking soda &I bought Thermabreath products but they havent helped also.
Has anyone experienced this before and if so can you please give me some advise.
Many thanks

Hi,
My 2 and a half year old has a bad cough, he seems to breathing quite heavy, he is coughing an awful lot (every other couple of breaths)
He has had a history with having bad coughs and sometimes even been given an asthma pump, which i have just tried to give him,but he just will not take it and gets himeslf more worked up.
I am thinking o phoning nhs direct as my docs are shut, but every other time i have called them they refuse to call a doc out and tell me to go down the hospital, when i have gone down they have basically looked at me as is to say there is nothing wrong with him but other times they do keep him in.
Its differcult because my partner works evenings and can’ t afford to have time off and i have 2 other children aged 5 and 1, so its differcult to find child care to go down hospital to be told basically that i am being too over protective.
I wish doctors would just come out to determind whether hospital treatment is needed, no wonder so many young children and babies die each year.
Of course if he does get worse i would godown the hospital straight away!!
What suggestions do you have?

Ok. I have 4 cats. The one I am asking about is my Siamese. I don’t know what the deal is but he has horrible breath. None of my other cats have this bad of breath. I’ve given him (Siamese) denta-bite treats for tartar, bad breath, etc. I’ve looked around at stores but all I can seem to find are hairball pastes. Nothing for bad breath.
So I am wondering, are there any ‘at home’ remedies? Say a little mouth wash on q-tip swab and then lightly swab the inside of his mouth? Toothpaste?
His breath, i’m telling you is just BAD! He sleeps with me every night and lays right next to my face. I can’t take his breath anymore!
Thanks!
Trust me, when he wants to cuddle me I try to push him away but he keeps coming back. haha
I will have to look into the dog tooth paste. His breath is just BAD!

A few days ago I had a sore throat which then turned into a cough. Usually this would be ok and pass after a while like any normal cough. However, I keep getting very bad coughing fits during the day, but also at night. During these fits I can hardly breath and get scared I am going to be sick. In between them I am also coughing constantly every 30 secs or so. Its getting really exhausting and embarrassing so does anyone have any treatments or remedies for this? I would really appreciate it!

I have been dealing with halitosis for as long as I can remember, but it has really left its mark within these last 3 years. I know it is not my dental routine (many recent visits to the dentist/orthodontist assure me), and quick treatments such as gum, breath spray, or candy mints work for, oh, 2 minutes. I’ve had less than fresh breath since my toddler years according to my parents, who say my pediatricians even commented on it. I also know it isn’t anything digestive, or any developed internal disease because like I’ve said its been there since a young age.
I just recently got blood work done at my GP and the results showed a deficiency in vitamins overall, specifically iron and vitamin d. I was also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. However, through my research I find no link between hyperthyroidism and halitosis.
My question is… has anyone found permanent relief through taking a specific vitamin supplement or probiotic, or through any method at all? With the new set of vitamins I’m taking for my hyperthyroidism I am curious whether I may encounted some bad breath relief. But please, no products; I’m interested in tackling the bodily root of the problem, not masking it.
