Bad breath could also be an indication of diabetes especially if it smells like "rotten eggs".
Your tonsils might be infected or it could be your teeth, you need to check these things out as well.
Drink alot of water. Your liver needs water to get cleaned out…if your not hydrated this could be your bad breath problem
open your mouth and check your tonsils for any white or yellowish stuff in them…that causes terrible breath if so according to e-how
#1
Dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide. Gently dab the hydrogen peroxide on problem areas on your tonsils. You may feel a bubbling sensation, which is the hydrogen oxygenating the bacteria in the mouth.
#2
Gargle with a mouthwash, such as Listerine, twice a day. Pay specific attention to the back of your throat by throwing your head back and gargling for at least 30 seconds. Spit and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water.
#3
Gargle with salt water. Salt water will restore the pH of your mouth and it also has an antiseptic quality. Swish salt water in your mouth for one minute, paying specific attention to your tonsils by gargling with your head back.
# 4
Consult a doctor. If you are still experiencing tonsilliths, your doctor can prescribe a special toothpaste and mouthwash to battle your tonsil problems.
I know some people just take them out carefully with a cotton swab or toothpick instead of all the above but
some people have their tonsils removed because of it, but you need to go see your doctor about it because it can be a number of other things like low saliva flow, sinuses among other things
you must brush your tongue, specifically the back of your tongue thoroughly, this usually fixes that problem
This home remedy works if your breath is dental related – some bad breath issues are an underlying health condition, or just a bad reaction to foods e.g. garlic and dairy products.
Mix baking soda 50/50 with salt in a small glass and add splash of Hydrogen Peroxide. Brush the mixture on or buy an dental irrigator. This really, really works, and is super inexpensive. The Hydrogen Peroxide is $2-3 and the baking soda you probably have at home but is also under $5.
If this does not work to you, it could be diet or something coming from down below, so you have to seek professional advice.
DO YOU ALSO SCRAPE THE TONGUE? DO ALL AND SEE…
You could also try an oral irrigator (waterpik) which has been shown to be 93% more effective at cleaning teeth and gums than flossing. Think of it like a power washer for your mouth. There are some inexpensive brands for portable oral irrigators. Try the Panasonic at $30 or the Waterpik.
