How do u tell someone they have bad breath?

I have a friend who has very bad breath at times. I have joked around and told them but they still want to get in my face and talk. I have offered them gum and one day they said no cause they were chewing gum already. I could not believe it their breath smelled just shit. I cant take it anymore. I want to tell them without hurting their feeling.

Here is some recent information about bad breath. Most bad breath is caused by bacteria on the tongue which produce those bad smells. You can often see this bacteria a "white stuff", especially on the back of the tongue. Mints, gum, mouthwash, toothpaste will cover up bad breath for a short time, but they do not cure bad breath. To cure bad breath you must remove the white stuff. I use OraBrush tongue cleaner because it is both a brush and a scraper. Works really well. To tell some one they have bad breath you must also teach them how to cure it. Remember, we can not smell our own bad breath so your friend can not smell their bad breath.
