How long did it take for you to get rid of bad breath after tonsillectomy?

If tonsils were the reason for your bad breath and you got rid of it after your surgery, how long did it take for your body to recover completely as an adult? (I’m 28) This is not about pain or discomfort, just the bad breath.

well right after you get your tonsils out you will have the worst breath you have ever experienced in your entire life. this is cuz the scabs are forming and helping heal you. the scabs are what smell soooooooooo terrible. between day 8-12 the scabs will fall off and then the nasty smell will go away. and your bad breath from before the tonsillectomy should not return.
