How to cure bad breath associated with tonsil stones?

Ive suffered from tonsil stones for a year and learned to live with them because i refuse to get my tonsils removed, but there must be some way out there to eliminate the bad breath! i have a date tonight and can not have bad breath tonight!

I read online before that you can try & remove them by either sort of hacking them up, or with a water pic or something like that. Then just rinse really well with Listerine, & keep some gum or mints handy!!

Tonsil stones do cause some amount of bad breath, however, the majority of bad breath comes from the top of the tongue where bacteria grow and cause bad breath. You can remove most of your bad breath by cleaning your tongue when you brush your teeth. Be sure to get an effective tongue cleaner, not just a scraper or your toothbrush. Check the top of your tongue for the "white stuff" which is the bacteria. This must be removed to control bad breath.
