I have found that doggy breath has gone since I swapped my dogs onto (a) Burns dog food and (b) raw food and bones. I am not going completely overboard on the BARF (look it up!) thing, but a more natural diet seems to have dealt with their breath issues, IYKWIM.
Also, could be something stuck in his teeth and rotting, have a look.

If it is very bad it could be an infection. Brush his teeth. Everyone should brush their dogs teeth.
Strangely enough although it may sound odd, get some garlic tablets from the pet shop.
Check the pet store. They should have a whole sesction on this. But if the dog is that old it might be a dental problem then nothing will help.
at walmart are dental bones, they clean and freshen breath, and they are under 10 bucks i think, and there are mint tablets that my dog loves so try both and if they dont work take him to the vet
hope it helps
My dogs like that to… lol. Try looking around shops for treats tht might help or if it’s real bad ask your vet or check on websites. Someone once told me mint tic tacs might help… ?
We got a toy bone thing from our local petshop. It has plastic outer bits to make the shape of a bone, and a rubber inside which has a minty smell in the middle. It cleans the dog’s teeth, and freshens their breath. Worked wonders with our dog! The rubber in the middle has knobbly bits pointing inwards. The chewing action releases the breath freshener.
Hope it helps
Brush it’s teeth. My vet told me to do this twice a week and to just use arm n hammer baking soda tooth paste and tooth brush. That will sort it!
they get bad breath by eating sugary food, try giving him rawhide bones.
