Bad Breath Causes, Cure & Treatment
The major cause of bad breath is the top of the tongue where bacteria grow and produce those bad smells. Bad breath can also come from not brushing the teeth and eating or drinking smells things like garlic, onions, coffee, smoking, etc. Mints, gum, mouthwash and even toothpaste will cover up bad breath but these products do not cure bad breath because they do not get rid of the bacteria. In addition, eating something, especially if you must chew a lot, will also cover up bad breath for a short time. Chewing does not remove the bacteria from the back of the tongue. I learned all of these 6 months ago when I learned about OraBrush tongue cleaner. To get rid of bad breath I brush my teeth and then clean my tongue with OraBrush. I have fresh breath up to 12 hours. Sometimes if I eat a smell food I also clean my tongue after eating because OraBrush will clean off those smelly foods that collect on the tongue.
no not drinking water or having your mouth not wet makes bad breath
Did you start a new medication? Have you become less active? Are you depressed? These are all reasons for you losing your appetite. Not eating could be the cause of bad breath or it could be what you are eating little of.
Eat some fruits salad to stimulate your appetite.
The use of chewing gum, mouthwash, and candy are not adequate solutions for dealing with bad breath, as they do not address the root cause, which is improper hygiene.
If you have dry mouth, that’s a major cause of bad breath. Drink more water. Also, you could have an underlying health issue causing you to lose your hunger. Underlying problems can also cause bad breath.
