My kitten has red gums and bad breath. What could be her problem?

I have a 10 month old Siamese kitten that has bright red gums and bad breath. I have taken her to the vet multiple times and the vet is stumped. The kitten doesn’t appear to have any discomfort eating. We have given her lysine. Her teeth are pearly white. We have tested her for FeLV and FIV. Both came back negative. I have three cats all of which are indoor cats. She is the only one exhibiting any symptoms. Any ideas what it could be?

Two reasons. Juvenile gingivitus, or Bartonella virus. There is a specific test for the virus, and dental attention for the gingivitus that she may outgrow.
My cat has the same thing. I brought my cat to the vet and they gave him medicine for it and it helped. I think it is Gingivitis.
If gum disease was ruled out, no infection of any kind, all tests come back negative. Have you thought possibly of her having allergies to the foods she is eating. It’s worth a shot. You seem to have covered everything else. Allergies is all I can think of at the moment. Especially since your other cats do not display any of these symptoms.
Take her to another vet for a 2 opinion.
