If your pup is between 3 and 7 months it is probably teething. As this is the time that periodontal disease can set in it is extra important to feed your dog the right foods now. This means raw meaty bones and offal not artificial kibble, chews and raw hides.
The meat will floss between the teeth and massage those sore gums while the bones will scrape plaque and tarter off the teeth. There is no need for toothbrushing – just feed raw meaty bones and your dog’s teeth will be sparkling white with no doggy breath..
Over 80% of commercial fed dogs over the age of three and 95% over 12 have periodontal disease which has proven links to other health risks. This is according to the manufacturers’ own statistics. Prevent this now by feeding an appropriate diet.
Bad breath, bleeding gums, lose tooth. HMmmm You need to start brushing your puppies teeth it is very important atleast once a day if you think that is too much you can get these things that the puppy can chew on and it cleans the teeth. Sounds like hes beggining to grow his adult teeths,. Bleeding Gums? Doesn’t sound normal a vet trip please! Your dog may have tooth decae.
No. It sounds like an infection, but I am not a doctor of veterinary medicine. Phone one in the morning and describe the symptoms you mention in your question.
This usually happens with older dogs whose teeth have not been taken care of. Should not be like that with a pup. How old is it? They do lose teeth around 5-6 mo old but the gums should not be bleeding and the breath should not be so bad unless they have been eating something like poop.
ok now..not to be mean but you know your concious is telling you its not normal, and if it was you you would have sought medical attention by now.. its the same way w/an animal..so i would take him to his vet. asap please.
How old is this puppy? Some people call their grown kids "baby", is that the case?
Dog teeth are fine without brushing until they are at least 5. Brushing is best of course, but we only started that like 10 years ago. Before that, it was all nature, and a dog could expect to keep it’s teeth until at least age 7.
If your dog is less than 7 years old, I think there is something bad wrong with your dog. You need to get to a vet. Immediately!
Unless it’s a Chinese Crested.
The same gene that causes hairlessness gives them extremely bad teeth.
I don’t think so unless his adult teeth are coming in in which you should notice that he’s teething but otherwise, schedule an appointment with your vet! Hope this helps!

Sounds like he may have a gum disease. He will loose all his teeth if he doesn’t see the vet for a dental cleaning. After that, I would try to get him used to letting you brush his teeth and have dental cleanings from your vet every year.
