What can cause REALLY BAD breath aside from a germy mouth?
Okay, so my breath really stinks sometimes, and it’s not because i haven’t brushed… i always brush my teeth, tongue, the works. I do have my tonsils but they look pink, not white or bumpy. I don’t smoke, i don’t eat garlic or onions. It stinks so bad that people can smell it even with my mouth closed, apparently the air that comes out of my nostrils smells too.
I think it’s something in my stomach, cause it does feel a little acid sometimes, but at others i don’t even feel it and people tell me i smell! Also, i don’t stink all the time. I don’t have rotten teeth or cavities. What could be causing this? What can i do to get rid of it?

can be caused by the contents of your gastric system
hyperacidity
or some kind of subacute infection in your GI tract
there are medications you can take to get rid of the problem
you might want to discuss it with your doctor
also you might have a sinus problem
Is this happening to you on a full or empty stomach?
Are you getting the full amount of sleep that your body needs?
It might be from eating something your stomach doesn’t like.
I ate some thing bad one day and 24 hrs later, my breath smelled REALLY bad. I don’t know any thing else to do but drink Ginger ale.
gargle mouth wash… spit that out and swallow some more. eat mints and chew mint gum all day. thats about all and see your doctor if it really bothers you.
are u sick or something? like a cold, fever
Are you flossing after you brush? That removes particles of food that are trapped in between the teeth that can cause bad breath as well. Stomach acidity may cause bad breath especially if you belch a lot. Try the Listerine mouth freshener sheets that are placed on the tongue & melt. They will help. Ask your dentist for his advice also. You can also buy the travel size mouthwash, that can fit in your purse, & are convenient to use anywhere.
you didnt mention flossing!!! always floos, you might have a half a cow stuck in between your teeth ☺
I know of a few things that can do this. First, your general body chemistry. My family has dry mouth (which makes your mouth grow more bacteria), and saliva with a lot of minerals. We all have bad plaque build-up natrually, go to the dentist every 6 months, and it comes back especially on the backside of the front teeth. Some vitamins can alter your chemistry and give you bad breath. My father and I have bad post nasal drip and stuffed sinus cavities… even when our noses are clear we have a lot of bacteria harboring phlegm in the back of our throats. That smells pretty bad. My sister struggles with digestive yeast overgrowth. That can also make it stinky. I wonder if taking acidopholis would help? Try eating more raw vegies. That can change the enzymes in your digestive system. When I know my mouth is really gamey (even after I brush and mouthwash), I do a rinse/gargle of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water. About 1/8th of a cup of each. I rinse/gargle until the mix is done then gargle with plain water and brush with just water to get the foamy stuff out. It doesn’t taste like anything, just don’t swallow it!!! I really work on my tongue… The foamy stuff is killing the bacteria, and when you look, it’s amazing how much is there! I had my husband do it, and he had hardly any foam which really made me see how everybody’s mouths are so different. Try that and see what happens. It’s a cheap way to see if you have a lot of bacteria. Don’t do the rinse more than a few times a month, though. My dentist said it can dry out the tissues and that could potentially make the problem worse. However, when I do the rinse my breath is much better for at least a few days.
Bad breath is caused often because you haven’t brushed and flossed well .If you don’t keep teeth and gums free of the bacterial buildup, they’ll start to cause odor as the bacteria rot leftover food particles in your mouth. More useful remedies at http://useinfo5.blogspot.com/
