Mints don’t work, he does brush his teeth, but still his breath continues to be bad.

Is he brushing his tongue too? he should do this (gently, of course).
If he keeps having bad breath you should see a dentist. I don’t mean to alarm you but this kind of problem can be a "mirror" for other diseases so is better to prevent than to be sorrow later.
Consult a doctor about halitosis. There are cures and things he can do to change his diet so his breath doesn’t smell so bad.
Listerine is a little harsh but it works. Apple cider vinegar works also, but I wouldn’t try it on an 8 year old. He might not be able to take it and may also get sick. Listerine most definitely and also Crest mouth rinse. Crest mouth rinse gets rid of bad breath and is nowhere near as harsh as Listerine. So Crest mouth rinse is my pick. That way you won’t have to consult a doctor.
Tell him to brush his teeth AND tounge..or maybe he doesn’t brush his teeth properly/correctly. Tell him to drink lots and lots of water as some bad breaths are caused by dry mouth. If it’s still doesn’t work..I advice you to consult your physician. All the best!:)
Bacteria around your tonsils can cause bad breath. Gargling with antiseptic mouthwash can help. A tongue scrapper before rinsing and after rinsing can also help. Removing the tonsils can help in some cases. You should really take him to the dentist.
Try a toothbrush with a tounge scrubber or a regular tounge scraper. You can find them at any Supermarket. Make sure he gets as far back on his tounge as he can. Also try some mouthwash if he can handle it. Mints and gum will only cover the problem temporarily. Hope that helps!
hi, you may need dental floss to get anything out that is stuck between the teeth.. also check the diet, sometimes what you are eating can give you bad breath, as in not digesting your food, mixing too many foods.
There is a Yoga excercise for this:
Make him rest on his knees and hand (on a carpet)(like a cat or dog).
Look forward.
Breathe out continuously from the mouth while hitting the stomach to the back wall of the stomach. (This is like how you do the "haa" action to check breath)
Do this for 15-20 counts.
This throws all the toxins in the body out (dont worry about breathing in, it’ll be automatic). Practicing this for a few months will help you say bye bye to bad breath forever.
Enroll for Yoga classes (at a non commercial place, like some ashram, where people are not money-minded)
Best of Luck!!
